Elle existe \u00e0 l'\u00e9chelle mondiale et a un impact sur tous les groupes raciaux et ethniques, toutes les classes sociales et toutes les couches de la population.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f0d76d8 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"f0d76d8\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Les personnes atteintes de trisomie 21 ou de syndrome de Down ont une copie suppl\u00e9mentaire du chromosome 21 dans leurs cellules. Nos cellules poss\u00e8dent g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement 46 chromosomes au total, soit 23 paires de chromosomes identiques dans chaque paire. Les deux membres de chaque paire se s\u00e9parent pendant le d\u00e9veloppement des spermatozo\u00efdes ou des ovules, et chacune de ces cellules ne poss\u00e8de qu'une seule copie de chaque chromosome. Parfois, cependant, cette s\u00e9paration n'a pas lieu et les deux chromosomes de la paire identique restent ensemble. Plusieurs types de chromosomes peuvent \u00eatre affect\u00e9s par cette \"m\u00e9iose\" d\u00e9fectueuse, le chromosome 21 \u00e9tant le plus fr\u00e9quemment
